Image Ecosystem uses open-source browser libraries. These components retain their original copyrights and licenses. The AI tools run locally using ONNX Runtime, U²-Net and UltraFace; they do not use an OpenAI API.

AI models
Background removal uses U²-Net small (u2netp), by Xuebin Qin and contributors, under Apache License 2.0. Model source and license · Apache-2.0 license. The unmodified ONNX export is distributed through rembg. Model file: u2netp.onnx.
Face detection uses UltraFace RFB-320 by Linzaer and contributors (MIT), running on the CPU through ONNX Runtime. Model source · License.
Codecs
AVIF is handled by jSquash with libavif and libaom. HEIC is handled by the unmodified heic2any library, including libheif and libde265 components. heic2any source and build instructions, libheif source (LGPL-3.0) · LGPL license, libde265 source (LGPL-3.0). These codecs can be rebuilt and replaced independently by rebuilding the HEIC module.
The application’s graphics are original SVG/CSS illustrations. DM Sans is provided under the SIL Open Font License.
